La Compagnie Becomes One Of The First Airlines To Offer 0% ABV Wine In-Flight

What’s trending on land eventually makes it to the skies.

While drinking a glass of wine to nod off on an overseas flight is a tried and true pastime by many jetsetters, not everyone wants a sip or refill of alcohol with the loom of jetlag ahead. Just like plenty of beverage menus at bars and restaurants across America, airlines are starting to catch on that guests don’t always want to imbibe but still want to feel indulgent.

And though mocktails and even non-alcoholic beer have been added on some routes, 0% ABV and low-alcohol wines have yet to make most beverage menus.

The 100% smart business-class airline La Compagnie just announced a new offering, just in time for Dry January. A brand new partnership with French Bloom, an alcohol-free French sparkling made with fine organic wine, will be on board all flights operating between New York and La Compagnie’s three European destinations – Paris, Milan and Nice (in summertime) — starting late December.

“As a French all-business class airline, we take pride in curating a premium and comfortable in-flight experience for our discerning travelers, and the addition of French Bloom aligns seamlessly with our continued commitment to luxury and innovation, especially in the realm of food & beverage,” said Anne Crespo, Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer at La Compagnie, of bringing. a zero proof wine on board, along with La Compagnie’s signature fine wine offerings.

The collaboration signifies a greater desire for wellness in all aspects of air travel, and a healthier in-flight experience for luxury customers. The beverages pair with seasonal, chef-curated menus.

“We are thrilled to partner with La Compagnie to bring passengers a sophisticated substitute to alcoholic drinks as we see an increased interest in travelers maintaining a wellness routine during their travels,” said Maggie Frerejean-Taittinger, co-founder of French Bloom.

French Bloom has a selective distribution mode and can be found stateside at The Carlyle, The Beverly Hills Hotel, Four Seasons Chicago, Cecconis West Hollywood, The Surf Lodge, and Erewhon. Internationally, the bubbly is served at Le Ritz Paris, Le Meurice, George V, Annabel’s, The Savoy, The Bulgari Dubai, and many more.
