Picturesque Spots Onboard The Norwegian Prima

The Norwegian Prima is the first ship of the extraordinary new class of Norwegian Cruise ships. Since Prima in Italian means first, this luxury ship is the first of her class. Besides new sophisticated modern designed cabins and world-class art, passengers staying in The Haven suites will experience exclusive amenities.

Built in 2022, the mega-ship offers 20 spacious decks and an abundance of enrichment outdoor space for up to 3,250 passengers on each sailing. Some of the most popular outdoor spots include the four swimming pools, bars and lounges. There are plenty of deck chairs, day beds and outdoor activities that will soothe your soul at sea.

The Concourse on Deck 8 is an outdoor oasis for art lovers. Throughout the day and evening the light changes in this area providing dramatic photos. Check out the striking sculptures by Alexander Krivosheiw.

Norwegian Prima – NCL

The hull of the Norwegian Prima is a work of art. World famous graffiti artist Manuel di Rita adds excitement to the ice-breaker style bow. Visible from any vantage point, this design highlights fluid shapes with blue swirls mimicking the undalating movement of water.

On Deck 8 there is a great photo spot dubbed the ‘world’s first free-fall dry slide’ on a cruise line. Capture brave passengers sliding down the side of the ship inside The Drop and Rush. With their arms crossed over their heart, they soar down 10-stories for a thrilling G-force experience.

The ship has the world’s first three-story theater that transforms into a Las Vegas-style nightclub, and the largest racetrack at sea. Go up to decks 18, 19, and 20 to take photos of family and friends speeding around curves at the Prima Speedway. 

Complimentary dining options include the Indulge Food Hall, an upscale food market with 11 unique eateries. Tapas Food Truck offers charcuterie and cheese, street food and casual dining with guacamole and chips can be ordered at the table at Latin Quarter. Indian fare such as naan, roti, and tikka masala is at Tamara. Nudis makes Thai and Italian noodle dishes, while Seaside Rotisserie prepares lamb chops, beef tenderloin, and grilled pineapple churrasco style. There is also a full bar with cocktail specialties. 

Enjoy Greek cuisine at Palomar, French favorites at Le Bistro and Teppanyaki at Hasuki. Surfside Cafe and Grill provides the ships all day buffet where everyone can select their favorite items.

Get a pool towel and lay it across a lounge chair at the Infinity Beach on Deck 8. It looks as if it drops into the sea. Inhale the fresh marine air, while feeling the warmth of the sunshine on your skin.

Stroll around Deck 17 to explore Vibe Beach Club, an adult-only area offering a prime spot to capture the beauty of the Norwegian Prima and ocean.

Other bars and lounges include NCL’s industry-exclusive sustainable cocktail bar at the Metropolitan Bar. Banana peels, croissants and other unused food items are turned into delicious specialty cocktails.

Every stateroom has a stunning life-style original art mural. With balconies, your private outdoor terrace provides some of the best views 24 hours of day at sea.

The Haven’s exclusive accommodations offer some of the largest suites at sea, including a three-bedroom premier Owners Suite with large balcony. The public areas and suites were designed by Piero Lissoni, one of Italy’s preeminent designers. On the Norwegian Prima, The Haven offers stunning sea views, a private dining room and deck with a pool.

Haven guests can soak up the sun and take a dip in the uncrowded infinity swimming pool. The private outdoor sanctuary offers a sauna, cold rooms and hot tub. Access is for ages 16+.

The ocean meets healing waters within the new Mandara Spa on Deck 16. Visit one of the detoxifying saunas and state-of-the-art pools, with a tranquil two-story waterfall. This experience on Norwegian Prima will awaken all of one’s senses.

Enjoy relaxation time at the Thermal Suite and Thalasso Therapy pool. This private chamber offers a unique blend of heat experiences to purify your body while achieving the ultimate state of relaxation while taking in picturesque ocean views. Norwegian Viva

Sail on one of the most stunning ships at sea, the Norwegian Prima. Her sister ship, Norwegian Viva has recently debuted as the second NCL’s Prima Class ship. She embarked on her maiden voyage from Venice, Italy.

The beautiful new ship will sail to Lisbon, Portugal and stop in some of Europe’s breathtaking seaside ports. Visits include the serene Amalfi Coast, Cannes and stunning Cote d’Azur. Other voyages include the Greek Isles and the Mediterranean through November, before celebrating the winter holidays in the Caribbean.
