Whether you are looking for a weeklong luxury vacation or just need a few days of indulgent pampering, the Mediterranean-inspired Acqualina Resort & Residences on the Beach offers the perfect getaway.

Located about a half-hour north of Miami, this oceanfront oasis sits on 4.5 acres of pristine beaches lined with cabanas, loungers, and luxurious furniture to enjoy relaxing or alfresco dining. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service by both the valet attendants and friendly front desk staff.

The property was designed to cater to both adults and families. There are three oceanfront pools, including one designed just for adults. They also offer a marine biology based AcquaMarine children’s program to keep little ones entertained all day.

When it comes to accommodations, the pet-friendly property offers sumptuous stays. From Intracoastal Rooms offering west views out to Collins Avenue to a massive 2,375-square-foot Grand Deluxe Oceanfront Suite featuring both ocean and Intracoastal views designed to accommodate larger parties, there are a variety of stays to choose from.

We recommend the luxurious and elegantly appointed, one-bedroom oceanfront suite. The 1,660-square-foot stay boasts breathtaking oceanfront views from every space.

The sprawling living room has a flat-screen TV, stylish furniture, and floor-to-ceiling sliders that open up to a massive terrace to enjoy seaside vistas that go on for days.

The king bedroom also has sliders that open up to the terrace.

A full kitchen is outfitted with high-end appliances, a breakfast bar, and a separate dining area that overlooks the Atlantic.

The luxurious marble bathroom features a soaking tub, dual sink vanity, spacious shower stall, and even a bidet.

There is also a desk area if you need to do some work, along with a den with twin day bed, ideal for an afternoon nap.

For dining, there are four restaurants on-site. Costa Grill offers the most casual atmosphere located just steps from the beach. The menu here focuses on Floridian and Mediterranean influences. Il Mulino New York takes diners on a delectable tour of Italy. For lighter fare and shared plates, Ke-uH features Japanese fusion cuisine (think spicy honey shrimp, Hamachi jalapeno, and Bonzai truffle rolls). Avra Miami is their newest addition (located at the Estates at Acqualina) offering guests a taste of authentic Greek cuisine.

A stay at Acqualina would be remiss without a visit to the spa. We recommend check out their new 50- or 80-minute stress relief back massage. Whether you prefer to focus on your back, shoulders, neck and scalp or opt a full body massage with a strong focus on these areas, the massage will leave you feeling rejuvenated.

Designed to soothe and relax, the massage featured an intoxicating calming blend of aromatherapy essential oils, including rose, geranium and frankincense. For nearly an hour, experienced therapists will work to reduce inflammation and loosen knots on the back, neck and shoulders. A cryotherapy ball is utilized at the end to reduce lactic acid buildup.

The result? All of our tensions and stresses were eliminated and the following day, we felt like a million bucks.
