As Veganuary grows in popularity every year, the range of vegan drinks continues to expand, with new launches every month. From new milk substitutes to energy drinks, beer and mixers, here is a top selection of new plant-based drinks that are worth adding to your vegan diet this month and beyond.

1.Mocktails, Espress0% Martini

Mocktails are 100% natural (no artificial ingredients, preservatives or high fructose corn syrup), sustainable in 100% recyclable packaging and ethically sourced. The alcohol-free drinks are also vegan, gluten free, low in sugar and calories. The newest launch is the sweet and creamy Espress0% Martini, a surprisingly full-strength tasting espresso martini. Very impressive.

2.Bolney Wine Estate, Pinot Noir

One of the oldest commercial vineyards in the UK celebrated its 50th anniversary last year. The award-winning vineyard has an excellent range of vegan wines including the newly released Pinot Noir, a medium bodied wine with flavors of blackcurrant, ripe fresh fig and notes of dark cherry plus white pepper. Also in the vegan range is the sparkling red, Cuvée Noir and easy drinking white Lychgate Bacchus.

3. Unrooted shots

Unrooted, a tasty super shot brand, boosted with African baobab, the world’s most powerful superfruit, is great for gut health. Baobab contains five times more fibre than oats, five times more Vitamin C than oranges and twice as many anti-oxidants as acai. The unrooted range includes four core flavors: Apple Cider Vinegar; Baobab Boost; CBD and Mighty Ginger. A B-Corp company, Plenish is a plant-based pioneer that launched the UK’s first cold-pressed juice range in 2012. Since then they’ve expanded into plant-based milks and immunity-boosting juices shots. Their latest launches are a green juice, Rise and Cherish, a cacao m*lk. Packed with 100% organic fruit and vegetables, Rise combines the natural deliciousness of juicy pineapple and pear with spinach, cucumber and a zing of lime. An easy introduction to first-time green juice drinkers as well as a perfectly nutritious addition to the day, it has naturally occurring Vitamin C, A and Folic Acid to support the immune system and energy release. Cherish cacao m*lk is made with cacao and vanilla beans, blended with delicious dates and a dash of Himalayan salt.

5.PiQi Life Water Kefir

PiQi Life’s award-winning range of vegan, gut-friendly Water Kefir is now available in large 750ml format, in four delicious flavours: Original Fig; Grapefruit and Cardamom; Butterfly Pea Flower; and Ginger and Lemon. Kefir is usually associated with a probiotic gut-friendly drink based on milk. However, this kefir is completely dairy free, a sparkling fermented Water Kefir. It’s a living fermented drink made from water, kefir culture (mixture of bacteria and yeast known as ‘water kefir grains’) and organic sugar. The fermentation process gives Water Kefir its distinctive light tangy taste and probiotic qualities. It has all the great gut health benefits of traditional Kefir but without the dairy. 6.DUG, potato-powered plant-based m*lk

The world’s only potato-powered plant-based m*lk, the most sustainable plant-based dairy alternative, tastes good too. It has a neutral taste profile and it can be used just like any other milk: on cereal, in smoothies, for cooking or just enjoy it by the glass. There’s also a barista version that foams up well and it doesn’t separate in hot drinks. Low in saturated fat, DUG is fortified with Calcium, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, Riboflavin, and Folic Acid. 7.Empress Lager

This new lager is vegan, organic and gluten-free. Empress Ales are premium craft British ales that are smooth, light and easy-drinking. Working with an award-winning brewery, chefs and restaurateurs, Empress Ales use natural ingredients, sourced as locally as possible, whenever possible. The Pilsner style lager uses original and authentic Saaz hops producing a sandy hue colour, a delicate bitterness with a hint of citrus and grass aromas.

8.Prime Time lager

The world’s first low calorie, caffeine infused lager is brewed in the UK. Prime Time was founded by Harvey Armstrong and Sam Holmes in 2019 but only launched to market in 2021 due to the pandemic. They’ve launched with two lagers, Prime Time Classic and Prime Time Caffeine. Prime Time beers have only 95 calories (30% less than standard premium beers), four grams of Carbs (63% less than standard premium beers), 4.2% ABV and are both vegan friendly and gluten free.

9.Double Dutch, Pink Grapefruit soda

Double Dutch is a real success story. The brand was co-founded in the UK by Dutch twin sisters Raissa and Joyce de Haas and has grown from their London-based business to 45 countries around the world. Their premium tonics and mixers include thirteen flavor variations, all vegan. The newest product is Pink Grapefruit Soda, an intensely rich grapefruit flavor with a hint of Persian lime, a great mix for Tequila or Mezcal.

10.Soos energy drinks
