The best accommodation in La Plagne

Advice

Deciding where to stay is important in La Plagne, since some of the 12 villages that make up the resort are not only miles apart but in different valleys. There’s also a choice to make between the low-lying traditional farming villages of Champagny, Montalbert, Montchavin les Coches, or the higher, purpose-built ski villages – Plagne Centre (the main hub of the resort), Plagne Bellecôte, Belle Plagne, Plagne 1800, Aime 2000, Plagne Soleil and Plagne Village.

There is a range of different standards of accommodation across the villages, including a lot of budget to moderate self-catering apartments, several catered chalet options from British operators, a good-value new-wave hostel plus a handful of luxury chalet-hotels and apartment options. The resort’s first five-star residence White Pearl Lodges and Spas is in Plagne Soleil, while new for 2022/23 is Residence W2050 in Belle Plagne, and fully renovated self-catering apartments at Chalet Hotel Turquoise on the Belle Plagne slopes.
