BLT Steak In NYC Introduces Weeks Of Terrific Pop-Up Menus

Food & Drink

Best known for some of the tastiest and highest quality steaks in town, BLT Steak has just announced a series of internationally themed pop-up menus to make your springtime dining a lot more fun. Beginning on March 14 and running through April 23, the bi-weekly rotating menus will include tasty appetizers and entrees from across the globe. The first two weeks feature Thai-inspired recipes, followed by Spanish and Middle Eastern cuisines. If your travel plans have been put on hold, this is a terrific way to taste the world.

Some of the Thai favorites being offered include Tom Yum Soup with shrimp dumplings, egg crepes with baby vegetables and tamarind noodles, BBQ lemongrass chicken and coriander marinated skirt steak. Those who love Spanish cuisine can indulge in a sunchoke tortilla, melon and Serrano ham and stuffed calamari with saffron rice. Lastly, if you are craving Middle-Eastern bites, you can try roasted eggplant with almonds and dates, hummus fritters or artic char served with harissa yogurt and pine nuts. All of your choices have been developed by BLT’s Executive Chef and Food Network star Cliff Crooks. Plan to arrive on a Monday or Tuesday night and you can also enjoy a complimentary glass of wine or cocktail.

What if you want to supplement your international choice with one of your favorites from the standard menu? We all know that sometimes when you walk into BLT Steak, you just have to order the beloved lobster cobb salad and the Australian Wagyu skirt steak for the table. It is always hard to say “no” to the Dover sole and the truffled mashed potatoes. No problem; the entire a la carte menu will be available during the pop-up weeks. And their delicious popovers are served with all meals.

Dinner is always a treat. In addition to excellent food, the restaurant boasts an impressive wine list and innovative cocktails, such as the “Moroccan Sunrise,” a tasty drink made with Boodles gin, peppercorns Indian tonic and fresh lavender. Another favorite is the “Sneaky Heat,” a tasty drink made with Milagro silver tequila, passion fruit purée and jalapeño-infused agave. If you have room, why not end your meal with brown butter profiteroles or the classic cheesecake?

BLK Steak has a relaxing, yet festive vibe and its leather banquettes are the perfect place to celebrate the arrival of Spring.
