Russ & Daughters Announces Lox Hoodie Collab With Jake Gyllenhaal

In a follow-up to last August’s viral tie die collaboration with Jake Gyllenhaal, New York’s Russ & Daughters has launched a brand new apparel item to break the internet.

Russ & Daughters, Jake Gyllenhaal, and New York Forever have teamed up to create a limited edition lox sweatshirt, with proceeds donated to the Actors Fund’s efforts to support NYC theater workers impacted during the pandemic.

“New York is not New York without food and the arts. This hoodie reflects the intersection of these communities and the shared desire Jake, Russ & Daughters, and New York Forever have to support these communities so deeply impacted by the pandemic” said Niki Russ Federman, Fourth-Generation Co-Owner of Russ & Daughters.

“We are very excited to see that an idea hatched a year ago with Jake has come to fruition” added Josh Russ Tupper, Fourth-Generation Co-Owner of Russ & Daughters.

The design, which was largely led by Gyllenhaal himself, pays homage to New York Forever, a non-profit campaign to create a stronger New York for all New Yorkers. Available as of Wednesday, May 26, the sweatshirt is a french terry hoodie with a drawstring hood and a K-Pocket. The fair trade cotton, eco-friendly dyed Lox hoodie, in sizes XS -XL can be purchased online via Goldbelly, for $150 (including shipping).

“We jumped at the chance to collaborate with iconic New Yorkers, Russ & Daughters and Jake Gyllenhaal, to make this sweatshirt to benefit The Actors Fund,” said Risa Heller and Jonathan Rosen, founders of NY Forever. “We created this organization to get all New Yorkers engaged in the City’s recovery and we hope people will be as excited to buy this as we are to be making it.”
