Imagine the fun you will have with your own putting green while staying in the Arnold Palmer Suite at the newly refreshed Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carlsbad, CA.

Known as the golf manufacturing capital of America, Carlsbad is home to 35 golf companies including Callaway, TaylorMade, Titleist, Cobra, and Fujikura shafts. It’s a golfers paradise for families seeking a safe Spring Break 2021 vacation.

Golf Professional Arnold Palmer designed the 18-hole championship Aviara Golf Course in 1991, and seven years later, the Park Hyatt Aviara was completed to offer golfers, corporate and pleasure travelers one of the most luxurious vacation experience.

Named by Golf Digest and Golf Magazine as one of the best golf courses in America, Aviara Golf Club is set in a botanical environment overlooking the Batiquitos Lagoon nature preserve. It’s the only coastal California golf course designed by Arnold Palmer featuring 18 holes and 7,007 yards of greens, bunkers, and water challenges with waterfalls, among rolling hillsides, native plants and wildflowers.

During 2020, the hotel started a $50 million dollar renovation of the resort transforming the five-level hotel into a coastal-chic and not pretentious luxury staycation. Each of the 327 spacious guestrooms and 47 oversized suites features a glass sliding door leading out to a private balcony or terrace. Situated high on a hill, views include lush gardens, panoramic views of Aviara Golf Course, Batiquitos Lagoon, and the foothills of San Diego.

The 1,640 sq. ft. signature Palmer Suite was created for comfort for golfers of all levels and their families. The spacious suite features one king bed, separate living room, dining area that seats eight, two full bathrooms, two large furnished walk-out terraces, with a three-hole putting green. The unique design elements include details of the Arnold Palmer signature-designed Aviara Golf Club.

Another golf experience at Park Hyatt Aviara is the TaylorMade Performance Center. Golfers have the opportunity to experience the most advanced personal fitting of golf clubs for your level, style, comfort, and ability.

First, warm up your swing at the designated spot on the TaylorMade grass range. A fitter will watch you and assess your current clubs, your swing and ball flight.

Then go into the fitting studio to gather all the information on how your current clubs perform, followed by making swings on the TaylorMade Gears system to 3D capture and gather relevant club data. You will be presented with any equipment needs and the opportunity to test some favorite clubs back outside on the grass range to see a difference in your swing and hopefully in your game.

Inside the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort is one more golf experience, a virtual Topgolf suite off the lobby of the hotel. It’s the only one in San Diego, CA and offers two virtual golf rooms off a clubhouse designed game room. Guests can rent this area for one hour or more and enjoy food and beverages from the pop-up restaurant. One of the Topgolf rooms can accommodate up to 8 people, the other is ideal for four.

Cabana rentals are available in two sizes for small and larger families to enjoy all day in a semi-private space. There are plenty of comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas for shade.
