Q&A: Our expert answers your coronavirus travel questions

Advice

The coronavirus pandemic is putting the plans of countless holidaymakers at risk. Today the US became the latest country to announce travel restrictions – banning all flights from Europe, with the exception of the UK – while Britons are currently unable to visit a clutch of destinations including Italy, China, Iran, Vietnam, India and Israel.

The situation is ever-changing, and raising plenty of questions for anyone due to travel.

Trips to most of Europe are still possible but, given the current climate, is it wise to go abroad?

Can those wishing to cancel their holiday get a full refund, even if the Foreign Office is not advising against travel to their chosen destination?

Is it possible to insure your next trip against coronavirus disruption?

To answer these questions, and any others you may have, our consumer travel expert Nick Trend will be on hand from 1230pm until 2pm today (Thursday).
