After a devastating fire tore its way through the Bungalows Key Largo last May, the luxury, adults-only hotel will officially reopen its doors just in time for the holidays. The only all-inclusive resort in the Florida Keys, the hotel is back and better than ever, featuring 135 private bungalows each of which are outfitted with its own bougainvillea-laden veranda complete with oversized alfresco soaking tub and garden shower.
Located on the Northernmost part of the Florida Keys just 63 miles South of Miami, the luxe waterfront resort spans across 12-acres and is now accepting reservations for December 19 onward.
“Bungalows Key Largo opened to a bevy of buzz and incredible interest from guests throughout the U.S. and beyond,” owner Jerry Johnson said in a statement. “We have worked tirelessly to restore the resort to its original grandeur, and we are confident the finished product is worthy of the hotel’s opening fanfare. We look forward to welcoming new guests as well as loyal guests back for a truly immersive Florida Keys experience.”
With three on-site restaurants including a multi-course fine dining option Bogie & Bacall’s, a beachside Mexican spot called Sea Señor and a casual seafood-centric spot called Fish Tales, there will also be a food truck, two on-site bars including Hemingway Bar (this is the Florida Keys after all) and two six-seat floating tiki boats, named the S.S. Rum Runner and S.S. Margarita.
The property will also feature two pools and two jacuzzi tubs along with 1,000-feet of shoreline dotted with beach cabanas. In the gorgeous full-service Zen Garden Spa, a Himalayan salt room and a eucalyptus steam room will compliment the bamboo or magnesium massage you know you’ll be treating yourself to.
In addition to the spa and a variety of water sports and activities that range from fish frys’ and pig roasts to mixology classes and sunset happy hours, a pair of cruising bikes will be provided in each bungalow for exploring Key Largo. The Fitness Tiki Hut furnished with Peloton equipment, will offer daily morning yoga and an array of aquatic activities from snorkeling and kayaking to paddle boarding.
Nightly rates for Bungalows Key Largo start at $998 per person per night. Best part of all, no passport necessary.
