Looking for some instant holiday cheer? Uber is ready to provide all the Christmastime vibes with the press of a button.
A new seasonal offering will help Uber users request on-demand carolers, Christmas tree deliveries, gifts and more, all via the Uber Eats app.
“We designed this festive suite of limited-edition products to bring a little holiday magic directly to our customers’ doorsteps this season,” says Lexi Levin Mitchel, Senior Communications Manager at Uber. “Each December, we look for new ways to delight folks while giving them more time to enjoy what matters most: spending time with loved ones.”
Starting on Thursday December 5, skip the tricky logistics and awkward carrying because Christmas trees, Hanukkah bushes, and holiday home decor can be delivered directly. The Uber Eats app will offer trees, wreaths, poinsettias and more, while supplies last, for direct delivery.
How to Order Uber Carolers
Grab a drink and request a troupe of carolers to spontaneously arrive at your home, office or holiday party for a unique singalong experience.
Those in New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Miami, and Washington, D.C. on Saturday, December 7 can take advantage of the app’s first ever Uber Carolers, created in partnership with beverage company Diageo.
Carolers will come to your home for a flat fee of $30. Audiences for the Christmas classics can also add on a bottle of booze from Casamigos, Don Julio, or Bulleit, mixers, and a non-alcoholic option, Ritual. Invite some friends over to join in on the joyous energy, or send a bottle and singers to a someone on your gift list for the best surprise of the season.
“There are so many wonderful ways to gift with Uber! With just a few taps, you can get (almost) anything on your loved ones’ wishlist and dish list,” says Mitchel. “Simply tap the gingerbread icon in the Uber Eats app to browse a curated selection folks will adore…You can use our festive gifting features to have items delivered to loved ones in minutes, with the option to record a sweet video message alongside it.”
Shoppers can take advantage of Uber’s Holiday Hub, returning this year to help with last minute gift ideas (think sustainable options like Allbirds sneakers, L’Occitane skincare products, Cuyana leather bags) and, of course, plenty of treats to browse and order quickly so you never have to show up as an empty handed guest. The Courier feature within the app lets users select between sending or receiving gifts, or getting in-person help with package returns or pickups from stores.
It’s the most wonderful time of year to outsource your least favorite holidays tasks with an app, with just the right touch of personalization.
Though they may not come with carolers (perhaps, with the right tip though), there are a few more ways to get Christmas trees and holiday greenery delivered this season. Boutique plant shop, The Sill, is shipping 6-foot live cut Fraser Firs for a set price of $150 this December. The Bouqs also offers shipping for live plants and floral seasonal decor and 1800Flowers offers a variety of planted and decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, centerpieces and more.
