The Lavender Room is located on a private corner of the Château, making it perfect for a romantic getaway. The room features a king size sleigh bed, wood-burning fireplace, and sitting area. Guests particularly enjoy this room’s charming balcony next to the stone turret with sweeping views of the grounds and nearby mountains.

The Chamomile Room is warm and inviting featuring lavish mahogany furnishings and French art. The king size canopy bed is situated for a perfect view of the wood-burning fireplace and the step-out balcony over the hillside and the garden. After a stroll of the grounds, enjoy a hot shower or a soak in the limestone bathtub.

The Ciboulette Room evokes the charm and beauty of the French countryside. Surrounded by vintage botanical sketches and a European tapestry, there is the convenience of two double beds and a writing nook with a French provincial desk.

Then there’s the Elderberry House, a culinary destination for more than 30 years, that exudes the passion and creativity for the culinary arts.

Chef Chris Flint oversees the culinary operations of Château du Sureau and The Elderberry Restaurant.. Prior to joining the team, Chef Flint, spent 10 years with the globally acclaimed Make It Nice Hospitality Group. During his tenure, he worked as The Chef de Cuisine at their flagship restaurant, Eleven Madison Park during the restaurant’s award winning years. He went on to play a pivotal role as the executive chef of NoMad New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. After his days with the Make it Nice Group, Chef Flint was the executive Chef at Maude, where they continued their 1 Michelin star. Working together with the Chef de Cuisine, Ethan de Graaff, they create culinary masterpieces to amaze even the most discerning palates.

The team is completed by Erica Ruiz, the sommelier at The Elderberry House, who loves finding the perfect pairing for everything the chefs come up with.
