Sitting on 365 acres in Rancho Mirage, The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa proudly unveils a two-year, $15 million dollar renovation. Nestled in the heart of the Coachella Valley, the multi-million-dollar renovation includes 512 guestrooms and suites, 130,000 sq. ft. meeting spaces, and all recreational areas in collaboration with California-based Clearview Hotel Capital and KMC&A Design. The resort’s new modern amenities and luxury atmosphere is what travelers expect from the Westin brand.

“Turning the page to the resort’s next chapter, and coming out of a global pandemic, the design and renovations have been centered around bringing people together, fun new experiences, and the guest’s overall wellness, sending them home feeling better than when they arrived,” said Tom Scaramellino, General Manager of the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa.

The Westin is the desert’s hot spot for multigenerational travel, and one of the most popular areas is the resort’s Las Brisas pool. It is now the ultimate family pool with the addition of a second slide, a 30-foot double-barrel waterslide, an upgraded pool bar, expanded pool deck and the addition of luxurious cabanas.

The resort is offering a lively spot in the newly renovated Backyard. One weekend a month, the resort hosts an energizing lineup of Jazz, Rock, and Country musicians with an in-person concert. The first concert at the Backyard was the famous Grooves Jazz at The Westin in conjunction with the annual Balloon Glow event.

Other concerts during 2022 feature Paul Brown and Brian Bromberg on January 22, Michaell Paulo on February 19, Peter White and Keyboardist Gregg Karukas on March 12, and David Benoit with Barbara Morrison Big Band on March 19, 2022. The concerts begin at 7 p.m.

Not only does the new space feature a stage, turfed terrace and outdoor kitchen, but the Moroccan design kitchen is equipped with a woodburning oven, outdoor smoker, and open-air BBQ. It is the new centerpiece for all the resort’s outdoor events and live culinary demonstrations.
