New York is back in full swing, and with iconic institutions no stranger to the New York hustle, the city is becoming better than ever. After being closed for over a year in the pandemic, Serendipity3 will be reopening its doors on Friday, July 9, with an updated, revitalized space that certainly took advantage of the forced pause.
The cultural and dining institution’s revamped space celebrates its classic roots with timeless elements including Tiffany lamps and antique clocks, but also celebrates the new with a modern and colorful overhaul . The famed serendipitous menu will remain similar, but with exciting new upgrades. Special 2021-appropriate items include a Truffle Burger with Boursin Cheese and Black Truffle Mayo, a Birthday Cake Sundae that includes Cake Batter Ice Cream, a giant piece of Cake, Whipped Cream, Hot Fudge, & a Cherry on top, and more. Think: TikTok appropriate.
Visited by millions, and popular for its often-block wrapping line down the door, Serendipity3 is a favorite of Cher, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Kim Kardashian and newly minted partner and investor, Selena Gomez, who launched a special line of pints with the brand in 2020.
“Serendipity3 has been a New York City icon for over 65 years, bringing people from New York and across the world together. We’re thrilled to reveal the restaurant’s ‘facelift’ for another generation to join us and create lasting memorable moments while enjoying good food and luxurious desserts with friends and family,” said Chef Joe Calderone, Creative Director of Serendipity3. “Just like New York City, Serendipity3 is back!”
Perhaps most iconic to Serendipity3 is their signature menu item, Frrrozen Hot Chocolate, which has been served over 30 million of times for the blend of over 14 cocoas served ice cold.
Serendipity3, 225 E 60th Street, will be open Wednesday-Friday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Reservations are now available via Resy.
