Located on the corner of West Sunset Boulevard and North Doheny Drive, The West Hollywood EDITION opened in November 2019, bringing the first true luxury lifestyle hotel experience to the Sunset Strip. The debut West Coast hotel in the EDITION collection features 190 guest rooms and suites, 20 luxury residences, signature restaurant, lobby lounge, basement club, an expansive rooftop pool and a spa.

The luxury urban resort welcomes guests behind a wall of lush foliage, transporting guests to feel like they’ve entered their private residence. Guests enter through oversized front doors on either side and into the lobby where its floors and walls are of Italian travertine. The casual yet refined space features an open floor plan with ample seating, a beautiful yellow billiard table and an inviting bar. Inside, an installation by Los Angeles-based artist Sterling Ruby uses industrial objects to show the grittiness of the Sunset Strip which contrasts the eclectic interior design. Just to the right of the lobby, a grand travertine staircase surrounded by solid European black walnut slats of wood leads up to the mezzanine level and creates an enclave for its signature restaurant, Ardor.

Using techniques from around the world and sourcing products locally, the use of organic ingredients prepared simply and presented socially, lead to a one-of-a-kind dining experience on the Sunset Strip. At Ardor, Michelin-star chef, John Fraser, showcases a vegetable-forward modern California cuisine nestled in a green oasis, connecting diners with the outdoors. From its greenery-filled garden built for al fresco dining to its interior which features timber screens, ceiling beams and electric chartreuse accents, guests are invited to an idyllic culinary respite just steps from the bustle of the Sunset Strip.

Another unique offering at the hotel is its roof and rooftop pool. 13 stories above, The Roof at The West Hollywood EDITION offers panoramic views from Santa Monica to Downtown Los Angeles and an 88-seat indoor-outdoor space open day and night. Hotel guests at The Roof can take a dip or soak up the sun alongside the beautifully landscaped pool that sits flush atop a terraced deck, with a wide variety of Latin and tropical-inspired cocktails with Southern California flair.

Along with design features like white-washed teak offered in each room, the two 2,036 square-foot custom-furnished penthouses also feature an expansive wraparound landscaped terrace and 360-degree views of Los Angeles. Ideal for welcoming guests or simply enjoying an expansive sense of privacy, the luxury apartment has its own private dining room, kitchenette and living room and unique finishes like walnut wood paneling throughout and a master bathroom with a walk-through closet.

From technology-forward treatments with sound and light to ancient rituals such as self-guided meditation, it is one of the only locations on the West Coast to receive a Jet Peel Facial. Guests take stairs down to the intimate relaxation space which is secluded from the rest of the hotel and are offered light refreshments while waiting for restorative or re-invigorating treatment. The fitness center is also on this wing of the hotel and features the latest state-of-the-art fitness machines including Peloton bicycles and personal training sessions available upon request.

For those looking for a refined night out, but actually still in the hotel, Sunset, the modern clubhouse on the modern clubhouse in the basement has been curated by acclaimed DJ Zen Freeman.
