The River North Art District, or RiNo, in Denver is an expansive area of burgeoning development in the Mile High City. Previously warehouses and industrial compounds, the red hot real estate is now home to food halls, retailers, an impressive street art scene and hotels.

Whether enjoying the numerous breweries within walking distance, visiting the The Mission Ballroom, or hopping on a scooter to zip around the arts area, The Source Hotel is a good home base. Located near the A-Line, the artery direct to Denver International Airport and Union Station downtown, the hotel currently towers over its surroundings making for a RiNo landmark.

Adjoining The Source, Denver’s first food hall concept that led the way for others; restaurants, a juice bar, and brewery are nestled into the re-imagined space. In the hotel itself, Safta soars with excellent food and ample footprint to enjoy a great meal. Brunch is a highlight, offering patio seating, extensive buffet and cocktail list that can leave you luxuriating in the space well into the day. Smok is a barbeque spot located off the second floor, a casual dining opportunity adjacent to the flower shop and art pop ups.

The rooftop pool is more of a plunge and hot tub, the pool deck maxing out at 16 people with few lounges and more seats to take in the skyline beyond. The Woods is the rooftop bar and a hot scene for Millennials enjoying the city. Not to miss: the buffalo cauliflower and icy frozen froze cocktails.  With some of the ownership enjoying the Vegan lifestyle, there are several Vegan and vegetarian options on property, yet they don’t skimp on flavor or presentation. Meeting space and a fitness center are also located on the top floor.

The 100 rooms at The Source afford views of the city skyline, with some suites complete with a garage door that opens to the outdoors, bringing the bustling city energy in. Unfinished concrete structure and wood accents create an extremely urban look and feel, with clean lines and minimalist design in the rooms and hallways. Care for a bath? The tub is located adjacent to the bed for views of the city while enjoying a soak. Architect Steven Dynia sought to seamlessly bridge the history of the 1800s building at The Source and the new build at The Source Hotel, echoing shapes, materials, and concepts in the spaces to visually bring them together.

RiNo continues to grow and thrive in Denver; the artistic dynamism propelling this once rough part of town into a thriving urban destination. If looking for a leisure destination with walkability for the RiNo part of town, The Source Hotel is just the place to stay.  For rates and reservations, visit www.thesourcehotel.com
